Mistakes

Mistakes happen when we miss taking the hint.

I've come to love mistakes. As a recovering perfectionist, it used to be the complete opposite. Now, with years of practice under my belt, I've come to recognize how valuable mistakes can be.

In the Vedic Worldview, the only thing that's ever happening is progressive change. How then, could anything truly be a failure? So what's happening when we make a mistake?

We're not taking the hint.

Here's what I've learned: A mistake is Nature's opportunity to correct. To grow.

Nature has your back. It's never trying to punish you. It's simply wanting you to evolve. Those moments that feel like failure are simply pivot points. Are you perceptive enough to take the hint? If so, you take it, you adjust, and you move forward. If not, you'll get hint after hint, until you take it.

Our aim is to keep the magnitude of our mistakes small. We want to be perceptive enough to take the hint the first time and keep our evolution elegant and smooth.

Everything is happening for you, including your mistakes. By embracing them, we're embracing our willingness to grow.
