You spot it, you got it.

It all comes back to self. How others behave is a sign of their current state of consciousness. How you respond is a sign of your own.

We’ve all had moments when we feel piqued by someone else’s actions. Almost always, we blame it all on them. But it’s important to remember: you are in charge of your own experience.

I’ve learned that when I have an unsavory reaction to someone else’s behavior, it’s actually because I have some similar flavor of that unsavoriness within myself. The mirror is being held up.

We don’t have to beat ourselves up about this. It’s actually a great opportunity to improve. When we notice ourselves feeling out of sorts about what someone else is up to, bring it back to self. It can be a very illuminating way to show us how we can be better.

Let others be. Bring it back to self and you’ll have a lot less stress.
